Thank you, next!

Only a few hours left before we finally bid goodbye to 2018. Since I have nothing else to do (besides finishing the paint by numbers I’m currently working on hoho~) I can’t help but let my mind wander about the most random things:

  1. The importance of fellowship.

“The enemy is only attacking you because you are valuable to God. Thieves don’t break into empty houses. You are important!”

I randomly came across this quote in Facebook and I suddenly remembered my spiritual battle this year. It’s been more than a year already since I started attending bible study and cell group meetings. I have been active and doing really well (I think~~) during the first quarter of 2018, but suddenly felt drained and pressured from the recent changes in work from the second quarter onwards. Would not really go into much details but I realized the importance of fellowship and surrounding yourself with fellow believers to always keep you on the right track and keep the burning coal on fire. ❤

2. What not to say to a 20-something NBSB. HAHAHAHAHA. I was really heart broken at one point this year but a friend joked about me being an NBSB, which I find really offensive like: wala akong ex, so wag feeling or akala mo naman nagka boyfriend na, etcMedyo mataas ang emotions soooo I was really sensitive at the time HAHAHABut to my defense: guys, we are as human as you are and we are entitled of having emotions as well. We also fall in love, kahit gaano pa ka one-sided yan, and we also get hurt. Nagmamahal din kami guyyshhh. The intensity might be different but we feel heartbroken as well. </3

3. Holidays during my childhood. I don’t really like the rainy season as it greatly affects my mood and my energy. HAHA. And since it’s raining a lot this December, I can’t help but compare how we celebrate the holidays way back during my childhood. I’m really thankful that I was able to experience caroling in the neighborhood, attend simbang gabi, light fireworks, etc. before. I miss the good old days when I don’t think about anything else but spending my vacation in Bulacan and the gifts I will be opening on Christmas Eve. Now, there’s a lot of things happening on my mind. HAHA. #adulting

4. Growing older. Just a few more days and I’ll be celebrating my 20—-something birthday. Quarter life crisis is real. It’s New Year’s Eve and I’m thinking of what I’m going to do in my life. Huhu. Also I’ve come to realize the fact that everyone grows older: including my family members. This reminded me to cherish every moment with my loved ones because no one can escape this “curse” of time.

5. Relationships. “People come and go” — probably one of the truest life lessons that is the hardest to accept and also the most painful.

Okaaaaaay, so sa dami ng iniisip ko inabutan na ko ng 2019. There’s a lot more to the list of what I’m thinking about this NY Eve, but no matter how long the list goes, I’m confident that all my worries are nothing as the Lord holds my hand no matter what. (Joshua 1:9)

Happy New Year guys!!!
